Sophos, a global cybersecurity firm, has introduced a suite of advisory services aimed at helping organisations identify and address security vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by cybercriminals.
In a statement on Monday, the company said the new offering known as Sophos Advisory Services includes external and internal penetration testing, wireless network testing, and web application security assessments.
The services, backed by threat intelligence from Sophos X-Ops, are designed to help organisations evaluate their security posture, comply with regulations, and reduce exposure to ransomware attacks.
Citing findings from its State of Ransomware 2025 report, Sophos said 65 percent of surveyed organisations had experienced breaches due to known or unknown security gaps, with exploited vulnerabilities identified as the leading cause of ransomware incidents.
“Adversaries are increasingly skilled at exploiting the smallest cracks in an organisation’s security programme,” said Jake Dorval, senior director at Sophos Advisory Services.
“We give customers a proactive advantage — helping them find and fix weaknesses before attackers can exploit them.”
Sophos said the new offering is supported by its global team of security researchers, law enforcement veterans, and threat intelligence specialists.
The company plans to expand the advisory portfolio in the coming months as part of its broader cybersecurity services suite.
